USI provides solutions to facilitate email discovery in the event of a lawsuit. Email discovery involves putting file system data and office files on retention hold to prevent them from being deleted, and allows them to be shared with auditors or legal staff to facilitate a review workflow. Auditors can easily view a listing of all auditors with whom they have shared an object. It’s important that assigned reviewers can quickly browse through messages and files, and tag items to aid subsequent searches and reduce unnecessary duplication of effort when cases overlap. Upon review completion, results sets can be exported in PST format for emails or native file formats for file system data suitable for ingestion into case management applications, for external counsel review or court-ready production.
